A hit and run accident in Perth has seen a toddler killed.

Police say the 22-month-old boy was run over in front of a house in Dunmore Crescent in Merriwa shortly after 5pm on Friday.

He later died in hospital.

The driver has been identified and police have issued a plea for him to come forward.  He allegedly drove from the scene without stopping.

Major crash investigators have attended the scene of the accident and are seeking information from anyone who was a witnesses to the accident.

  • Another hit and run? Incredible. Some weeks ago, here in WA, one woman was killed by a car while riding her bicycle. And the driver of the car who hit her, ran away. They later found him: a 73 years old man.
    Poor child!!
