Hello!

Christmas parties this year may not have massive crowds of festive revellers – but with the help of Kmart’s fantastic new range of kitchen appliances, your home party is going to be the most talked-about occasion of the year.

We’re talking crepe makers, fairy floss creators, cinema-style popcorn poppers, chocolate fountain waterfall and best of all, you can glug it all down with the help from your very own alcho-pop frozen slushy maker.

This brand new well-priced collection of gadgets have just popped into Kmart stores and online and if previous products are anything to go by, we suggest you pick up one or all before they’re sold out.

A Must For Every Party

We are super excited about the Kmart seven-litre air fryer, selling for an affordable $119. This baby features a digital display with 8 pre-set functions and can crisp up nugs and chips without oil, in minutes.

The three-station buffet is a must to keep Christmas lunch warm. I remember my mum had one of these and it came out without fail every time we had people over for a meal. This gadget has three separate sections for different kinds of food (think roast beef in one, crunchy potatoes in another and steamed veggies in the third) and an adjustable temperature to keep food warm.

The Fun New Party Kitchen Appliances

Then there’s the range of fun kitchen appliances that are guaranteed to liven up any party. These all have a matching red and stainless steel colour palette and would look perfectly matchy-matchy on your kitchen benchtop (if you can shift up the pie makers to make some space).

You can’t call a party, a party without the $25 cascading chocolate fountain that is perfect for dipping fruits, marshmallows, cookies, pretzels, cake or mini doughnuts.

Freshly Made Crepes

Then there’s also the must-have crepe maker. Come on, who can seriously say no to freshly made crepes every morning. This $25 crepe maker will help you prepare sweet and savoury crepes for your breakfast, which also features a non-stick coating plate and variable temperature control setting.

There are two options if you can’t get enough of home-made hot buttered freshly popped popcorn. There’s a more hard-core theatre popcorn maker selling for $60 or the more basic $19 version.

My kids are the most excited for the $40 cotton candy maker, which makes as much fluffy and delicious candy floss as you can eat.

Frozen Margherita Anyone?

My personal favourite has to be the $40 frozen drink maker, which can whip up slushies and snow cones and has two shaving settings to produce a finer or coarser ice texture. Add a dollop or more of your favourite alcohol and you’ve got frozen margaritas on tap. Perfect for those long summer lunches.

Thanks to Kmart, this is going to be one treat-filled festive season.

  • We have one of the items, the food warmer, that is great for Christmas. Most other novelty items we’ve bought, not used, and then got rid of.

    • Yes, when my oven was broken I used my air fryer a lot, but since I have a new oven I rarely you my air fryer either.
