Just when you think you’ve watched everything there is to possibly watch, we’re bringing you what’s coming to Netflix this month. Lots of great movies and TV series, including something for adults, and for the kids too.

COOKING WITH PARIS | COMING AUGUST 4TH

If there was someone we didn’t think we needed to get cooking advice from, it’s probably Paris Hilton. Cooking With Paris is surprisingly hilarious though, as she gets help from her celebrity friends to try new ingredients, new recipes and exotic kitchen appliances. Let’s see if we learn a thing or two!

VIVO | COMING AUGUST 6TH

Get ready for an animated musical adventure! Vivo follows a one-of-kind kinkajou (a honey bear), who spends his days playing music to the crowds in a lively square with his beloved owner Andrés. Though they may not speak the same language, Vivo and Andrés are the perfect duo through their common love of music. We’ll be singing our way through this sweet movie.

BAKE SQUAD | COMING AUGUST 11TH

In each episode of Bake Squad, four individually brilliant bakers will battle it out to see whose dessert will be chosen for someone’s extra special big day. These bakers have been personally selected by Milk Bar founder Christina Tosi, who built an empire on delicious cookie dough. A show we’ll be drooling over.

MEMORIES OF A MURDERER: THE NILSEN TAPES | COMING AUGUST 18TH

Britain’s most notorious serial killer, Dennis Nilsen, confessed to killing 15 people in 1983. Over a five-year period, he picked up vulnerable young men, lured them back to his home and strangled them, before disposing of their bodies under the floorboards. The truth of how and why he committed these murders has been speculated for decades, but now private recordings have been released and we’ll find out more than ever before.

SWEET GIRL | COMING AUGUST 20TH

Total babe, Jason Momoa plays a devastated husband who vows to bring justice to the people responsible for his wife’s death while protecting the only family he has left, his daughter.

THE CHAIR | COMING AUGUST 20TH

Sandra Oh returns to our TVs in The Chair, playing Dr. Ji-Yoon Kim as she navigates her new role as the Chair of the English department at prestigious Pembroke University. Ji-Yoon is faced with a unique set of challenges as the first woman to chair the department, and as one of the few staff members of colour at the university.

POST MORTEM: NO ONE DIES IN SKARNES | COMING AUGUST 25TH

Live Hallangen is declared dead. Hours later she suddenly wakes up on the forensic table. A dark, insatiable hunger has awoken in her. Meanwhile, her brother Odd tries to keep the family driven funeral home afloat, but the stagnant death rate in the small Norwegian town of Skarnes makes it impossible.

SPARKING JOY | COMING AUGUST 31ST

Get ready to want to tidy EVERYTHING! Wildly popular organisation icon and best-selling author Marie Kondo takes her signature approach to tidying up a step further in her new, transformational Netflix series, Sparking Joy. Marie shows us how we can ‘spark joy’ in business, relationships and even communities. The impacts of tidying are surprising, emotional and transformative in the lives of the people Marie meets.
