Hello!

If you know a whisky fan or are one yourself, then this is definitely a winter event you’ll want to check out!

It’s the world’s premier whisky tasting show and now Whisky Live is coming to cities right around Australia. Founded in 2000, the exhibition style event has since travelled the world offering whisky lovers the chance to experience every aspect of the popular spirit.

Try Before You Buy

Whisky Live first headed to Aussie shores in 2009, with the first event held in Sydney. Due to popular demand, it now visits six cities around the country including Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and even Canberra! The event is set up to allow visitors to wander freely between the various stalls, with a presenter at each one ready to share the story of their product and invite guests to try a sample. Whisky enthusiasts are encouraged to ask questions and visit as many of the stands as possible, with the ticket price including all tastings. Event organisers suggest only sampling those of genuine interest, however, as there are so many products available as you could be more than a little tipsy after trying them all!

Get Smart

Those hoping to check out Whisky Live have been warned that it isn’t a jeans and t-shirt affair – the dress code is smart casual, with an emphasis on smart! Guests are also asked to pre-purchase tickets online to avoid disappointment on the day. We think this is an incredible gift idea for a whisky-loving friend with a mid-year birthday or a fun date night with a difference. Just be sure to have something to eat along the way!

Visit the Whisky Live website to find out when the event will be arriving in a capital city near you!

  • I don’t mind a glass of whiskey. I’m not a big drinker though so don’t think this is for me. I also like my whiskey with Coke, frowned upon by genuine whiskey lovers so I’ve heard

  • I no longer drink but I know my Son and DIL would love to go. Might have to make it a birthday present for him.

  • Looks good! I don’t mind a fine drop of whisky. I experienced something a little similar to this at the Food and Wine Show.

  • No hobart as usual. Ah well looks like it’s a trip to the bottle shop for my own bottle of whisky

  • How much is a glass of whisky? I suspect a few people are going to get picked up by Police for being over the limit.

  • I think my husband would like this event.

  • Melbourne is the closest city to me, still a plane ride away. I don’t mind whisky but not a lot of it

  • Bleh. The strongest drink I go for these days is chocolate milk.
