How the heck can this happen. I know it’s not always easy to notice the differences in a new born but the tags between Mother and baby are meant to match. Thank goodness it was noticed immediately by the parents. Doesn’t say too much about the staff though

Thank God for the best outcome. However, this would be very parent’s nightmare and should never happen. The distress that would have been caused, is unforgivable.

In this day and age things like this just shouldn’t happen!

I think this is a big part of the reason babies stay in the room with their Mum’s instead of going to the nursery now.

Phew what an error ! This should not have happened ! Lucky they didn’t throw the number tags away yet and could prove this mistake.

What if something like that happens to us and we don’t realize..
I don’t know… We will still love them… Geez

Hard to think that this happened in this day and age! Wonder what procedures they have? My baby barely left me from the time she was born.

They must have been half asleep, surely you can recognize your own baby.Very strange this can happen in this day and age.

  Possibly not – it does depend on the type of birth and time spent with the new bub and the health of the mum. These things do happen – poor families.

I don’t understand how this can happen.. you would think you’d notice before you left

Quite unusual, isn’t it? Were kids all wearing the same clothes then?
