Young boy sadly dies after playing in tumble dryer.

A 10-year-old boy has died after friends found him unresponsive in a tumble dryer during a game of hide-and-seek.

Fernando Hernandez Jr – from Houston, Texas – was playing hide-and-seek in an apartment complex on Friday when he died.

Police Detective Michael Arrington told the Houston Chronicle the boy’s friends found the 10-year-old unresponsive in the dryer.

Fernando’s devastated mum Christina Rodriguez told KTRK-TV she did not know what happened.

“I was just inside cooking and my little son came inside and told me my son was dead on the floor,” she said.

The Harris County medical examiner’s office said on Monday the boy was electrocuted.

  • How horrible and a timely reminder about educating children to the dangers of household appliances. refrigerators are another really bad one if you have that spare that is empty most of the year- it’s possible to get stuck inside and not be able to breath.

  • How devastating for the family and friends of the little boy. A seemingly innocent place to hide if you were a child as they don’t understand the dangers. RIP
