Zooey Deschanel is "over the moon"

Zooey Deschanel, the quirky star of the New Girl, has announced she is expecting her first child with her partner Jacob Pechenik.

The 34-year-old actress shared the news with People magazine, revealing “Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one.”

The bub will be the first child for both Zooey and Jacob, who started dating mid way through last year after meeting on the set of Rock The Kasbah.

It is a particularly exciting time for the Deschanel family, with Zooey’s sister Emily currently expecting her second child with her husband David Hornsby. The pair are also parents to 3-year-old Henry.

These 2 are sisters are so different yet you can see they have similar styles with some things. Sweet news to be expecting their first bub. Even celebrities should be allowed to enjoy privacy when it comes to having their babies.

Congratulations to the parents to be, and no I am one of 4 girls who are close in age, I am the eldest and the youngest is 5 years younger than me, between us we have 10 children and none of us were pregnant at the same time as another one, strange really due to the closeness in age of us and our children,
