  • Baking Soda is an essential and so very handy.

  • Wow I knew a lot of these but what an eye opener!! Ive just put that and vinegar on the shopping list

  • Who would have thought bi-carb soda was so versatile.

  • Sprinkle baking soda over a mattress, & leave for a few hours & then vacuum it up has been one of my favorite uses to freshen them. Thanks for all the other ideas!

  • I read somewhere that combining bicarb and vinegar together makes them less effective because of their chemistry (base + acid) cancelling each other out. Apparently if you’re combining them for cleaning you should use them one after the other, not at the same time so they fizz together (not so much for unclogging drains because the chemical reaction helps to unclog them).
Does anyone have any advice for exactly what they do when cleaning the oven with bicarb?
