A young woman has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm over the alleged bashing of a four-year-old girl on the Gold Coast.

Police say the girl was admitted to hospital earlier in the week with serious facial injuries, including a fracture and severe bruising.

They have charged a 21-year-old woman, who is known to the victim, and she is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on March 24.

Here’s hoping the little one will be OK – don’t know how anyone can deliberately hurt a 4 yo.

Is this the case where a woman took a girl and the Police were searching for them which was reported recently or yet another one. I wonder if the girl’s parents can sue the offender so as to pay for medical expenses, pain suffered and counselling etc. for their little girl. One time I do agree with Parents taking legal action for compensation. If that female has / ever has children of her own I hope they are removed from her care immediately.
