This is shocking. Unbelievable. This could have ended so differently for the child. I’m so glad she was found safe and well.

Wow, crazy someone would actually do this with a child – and that the child at the age of between 1 and 2 stayed quiet and fairly still for long enough to get the flight underway and (somehow) get through the pre-boarding bag checks!

As kids my sister and I would try to smuggle ourselves in our dads suitcase or bag when he went away (he worked away overseas for a month at a time) but of course we were always discovered!
We resorted to smuggling soft toys instead as we got bigger – much to our dads embarrassment at his works security checks when they came onsite! (All bags etc used to get checked for weapons etc).

I suppose at least it wasn’t a tiny baby that might have suffocated.

So did she really do it just to avoid paying the ticket for the little girl?
But how was she able to pass through security??? So weird!

I can’t believe someone would even think of doing this, much less going through with it.

This is one very good reason why this woman is not fit to adopt this child.

Reading the title of this story I thought for a moment the child would be dead…Glad to read this isn’t the case, bless the child !! Trying to adopt a child and stuff it in a hand luggage bag ?? not the best start I would say….

Maybe the toddler was asleep when the woman went though and that’s why the toddler wasn’t discovered. They obviously don’t have a thorough check-in like many countries have (or somebody turned a blind eye to the situation). The woman was abviously trying to get a free ride for the child. I doubt the adoption will occur new. The woman is more likely to be charged with neglect. I wonder where she had planned to stow the bag.
