In breaking news a Victorian primary school, Beveridge Primary School, is in lockdown after reports of a gunman being on the loose.

Parents of children in attendance have begun to arrive at the school to collect their children. Parents have reportedly been asked to hide in their cars with their children after 4 students claimed to have been threatened by a man wearing a ski mask and carrying a gun.

We will bring you more to this story as it comes to hand.

UPDATE 4.50pm 17th March

Parents have now collected their children with Donna Birrel telling the AAP that “all the children are accounted for”. Staff are also making their way home though Police are still on the scene.

  • School areas are usually large. Their best way of finding the culprit may be sniffer dogs. Unfortunately the dogs will probably be confused because so many people visit there. Fortunately the school staff were able to contact the parents.
