A popular toddler’s activity table is being recalled, amid concerns it could pose a choking or suffocation hazard.

The Le Toy Van Petilou Activity Table, which has a shape sorter, rainbow xylophone and other fine motor building activities, is being recalled because it doesn’t comply with the mandatory safety standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age.

Due to a manufacturing fault, the ball may come off the end of the xylophone striker. If the ball comes off it may pose a choking or suffocation hazard for young children, which may cause serious injury or death.

The tables were sold nationally and online and through toy and selected specialty stores between 1 October 2021 and 25 November 2021. The Batch Code is 4288/0821/pl137/cn (found underneath the table base).Activity Table recall

If you have this activity table, you’re being advised to cut the striker cord at the level of the top of the table and return the striker and cord to the place of purchase for a full refund.

  • Thanks to Mom for letting us know about product recalls! I still believd we should always be on the lookout as mums for faulty toys or hazards with any toy whether it is safety checked or not..anything can pose a threat to babies & toddlers

  • That’s good to know.
I’m glad you guys are always on the ball with letting other mums and dads know about recalls.
We didn’t buy one of these as hubby and I prefer plastic toys over wood as they aren’t so hard when someone gets hit with them in comparison to wood.

  • How do these things get to the point of being sold if there are safety checks?
