Hello!

The 80s were hands down the best decade ever in the history of existence (don’t try and convince me otherwise) and they’re coming back in a big way thanks to ALDI’s retro-inspired Best Buys!

We’ve got our hands on the latest ALDI catalogue, and we literally SQUEALED when we saw that the retailer is releasing a Boombox!

For $229 the ALDI 80s Bluetooth Boombox with Cassette and CD Player has the look and capabilities of a ridgy didge boombox, with some mod cons included.

Like the boomboxes of the 80s, it has a cassette player and radio, as well as AUX and headphone inputs. But it also has Bluetooth and USB and SD card slots, and there are two mic inputs for some karaoke action.

The ALDI Boombox will come in three colours, silver, yellow and blue and will be on sale from Wednesday 30 November.

Oh, and in case that gem hasn’t given you enough to look forward to, ALDI is also releasing roller skates, a skateboard, some 80s-inspired jackets and mugs. Rock on!

  • I missed this sale but it sure is just like stepping back in time.
Even then I didnt own a boom box or roller blades. I did have roller skates when I was younger though and had a pair of the adjustable ones that could fit any shoe size. Wonder what happened to those

  • Think I’ll pass on this – wasn’t a great fan of them in the 80’s anyway.

  • Oh cool! Looks so much like the one I bought aged 18. I still have it and listen to the radio in the bathroom. Mine has double cassette and no CD. I would love one of these for my grandson so he can play the cassettes and CDs I have that belonged to my kids.

  • I made a Boombox Cake for my youngest son’s 12th Birthday. I based it on the boombox we had at that time. Unfortunately I no longer have the real one and I doubt I’ll buy one now. By the time I was able to get to an Aldi store they would have sold out anyway
