Little Alfie Evans sadly died in hospital over the weekend amid a court battle over his treatment.
Alfie’s dad reportedly battled to keep the dying tot alive by giving him mouth-to-mouth in his final moments.
Alfie’s family are now begging their supporters to stop adding halos and angel wings to photos of their little boy.
The little boy’s aunt Sarah Evans said the images, which are being shared across social media, are causing more anguish for his mother Kate James.
Members of the so-called Alfie’s Army have been doctoring pictures of Alfie in Facebook tributes posted after he died on Saturday.
Ms Evans encouraged well-wishers to post more pictures of the little boy, but asked them to stop adding the halos and angel wings.
Devastated mum, Kate James, shared a moving poem on Facebook.
It begins: “Mummy please don’t cry now. For I must go to sleep.”
Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones.
