A water birth like any other birth can be calm, peaceful and simply beautiful if these pictures are anything to go by.

Lindsey Meehleis shared this amazing video on Facebook of a mum aiding the delivery of her own baby. SO peacefully!

“This is life….this is birth..raw and powerful. Have you ever seen a woman so empowered?! This is @birthwithoutfear #waterbirth #homebirth #lifeofamidwife #homebirthed #simplybirth”

More beautiful water birth images and video included below….

Kate Kennedy Birth Photography shared – “I received an email many months ago from a lady called Lyndsey. She explained to me that one of her best friends was having a baby and had invited her to attend the birth. She went on to say that she herself was dying of terminal cancer and witnessing this baby’s birth was on her bucket list. She was so grateful for this sacred opportunity and wanted to thank her beautiful friend Krystal, by having me come and photograph the birth. Of course I said yes.

Krystal and Clint turned out to be two of the loveliest people you could meet and were overjoyed at Lyndsey’s thoughtfulness. So at dawn on a November morning we finally all found ourselves in the one room, at Belmont’s Birth Centre. Krystal birthed her precious boy Samuel, with confidence and grace, while being supported by Clint, Lyndsey and two of the most incredible midwives I’ve encountered. Jenny and Jodean, I am in awe of what you do for women.

Thank-you Krystal and Clint for allowing me to share the absolute beauty that was Sam’s birth, and thank-you Lyndsey for teaching me about selflessness. XO”

Birth Without Fear shared – “Labor with your partner can be an intimate dance of love. A divine trajectory pulling you closer together. A melding of souls with each breath in unison.

I am so humbled by being present for some of the deepest displays of love and beauty one will ever see. Peace on earth begins with birth.” – OC Birth Photography ‪#‎birthwithoutfear

Birth Without Fear shared – The relief, joy, and this brief time are important and beautiful. Bonding, family, transitioning. Hold this space and time sacred if you can.

Birth Photography shared – “Photographing this birth over the weekend brought me to tears, and left me so incredibly moved and inspired …
Welcome home, sweet baby Sachin. The world is so happy that you have arrived.”

This one is very special water birth we had to share.

Breathe In Photography shared – A newborn smile caught on video only moments after birth…

In February I had the honour of photographing this gorgeous surrogate birth story.

“The arrival!!! Humanized childbirth does not mean (only) childbirth in the water or at home, nor is it a vaginal birth at any cost. The principles of humanization are: respect for the autonomy of women, medicine based on scientific evidence and care with a multidisciplinary team. Woman, inform yourself and make your choices consciously.” . . . “A chegada!!! Parto humanizado não significa parto na água ou em casa e tampouco é um parto vaginal a qualquer custo, os princípios da humanização são: respeito a autonomia da mulher, medicina baseada em evidências científicas e atendimento com equipe multidisciplinar. Mulher, informe-se e faça suas escolhas de forma consciente.” @robertamartinsfoto #birthwithoutfear #dontforgetdads #optionssupportrespect
