Angelina Jolie has released a statement after ex Brad Pitt has been cleared of child abuse allegations.
Angelina has confirmed that she had wanted to take action against her ex to protect her six children and is now hoping the whole family can move forward after accepting the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services’ conclusion, reports The Mirror.
In statement to TMZ, a representative for the actress said: “Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal.”
The representative also confirmed that Angelina and Brad have reached an agreement where Angelina reportedly has primary custody of their children, while Brad will have supervised visits.
The L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services has now decided to close the investigation, which involved an alleged incident that occurred on a private jet in September between Brad and his eldest son Maddox, reports TMZ.
The former couple, who have six children – Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – have agreed they will remain in the care of the 41-year-old actress.
