This DIY pony house/doll house is so fun and easy to make for kids. They get a real kick out of designing and making their own creations.

Material

  • 3 empty tissue boxes
  • scissors, glue
  • paint, textas

Method

  1. Cut out the top of the tissue box to create a 3 sided box.
  2. Have your child decorate each room with paint or textas.
  3. Glue the boxes in the configuration your child wants (eg. 3 stories upon across).
  4. Once completed, pop in the ponies (or dolls) and voila - ready to play.

Notes... This can be adapted to anything: princesses, superhero caves, minions etc. You're only limited by your creativity!

  • So cute! I just love what can be created with empty boxes. Not only will the kids enjoy playing with the end product, they’ll also have fun making it!

  • How cute. Love that it’s simple enough for the kids to put together themselves and can be adapted to be a doll house or fairy house or a garage for cars.

    • We have tissue boxes all the time in our house good to keep now

      • They’re so handy and the best bit is you can recycle them when the kids have finished with it

  • Just goes to show you don’t have to spend a lot of money on expensive dolls houses when a shoe box does the trick. Thank you.

    • Exactly! And the best bit is it is recyclable when they get sick of it or don’t play with it anymore
