Kate Middleton stepped back into her glamorous event life as the Duchess of Cambridge, accompanying Prince William to a charity event in London on Sept. 12.
It’s not work as most of us know it, but for a woman with the focus of the world’s media on her every public move, the job of just getting out of the house with a new baby at home comes with added pressure.
In a floor-length sequinned Jenny Packham gown, Jimmy Choo sandals and a diamond bracelet from her father-in-law, Prince Charles, the duchess looked amazing at the gala for the Tusk charity, which aims to preserve Africa’s wildlife.
“As you might have gathered, Catherine and I have recently become proud parents – of a baby who has a voice to match any lion’s roar!” said Prince William, 31, a patron of Tusk. “This is actually our first evening out without him, so please excuse us if you see us nervously casting cheeky glances at our mobile phones to check all is well back home.”
Prince George, born just over 7 weeks ago, is in safe hands. The couple have hired Prince William’s childhood nanny, Jessie Webb, 71, who was at home minding the baby.
