Understimulated at work? Well, how about a career as a sex toy reviewer?

A former banker has swapped the corporate life for a job as a professional sex toy tester. She says she halved her salary but is now “having twice as much fun”, as reported in news.com.au.

Cara Douglas, who lives in Britain, has joined sex toy company, Lovehoney and now earns $53,310 a year testing out their bedroom products. The sex toy company says she is one of its most popular testers, having reviewed more than 3000 products so far, according to news agency Cavendish Press.

Sex Toys Have Changed My Life

Ms Douglas said her husband Darren also gets to participate in the testing process. “Obviously that is fun to do but you have to maintain your professionalism and work out what aspects of the product work well and what don’t,” she told LadBible.

“Overall, I would say that my job enhances our sex life. Sex is like a muscle — the more you use it, the more active it is. Sex toys have changed my life in so many positive ways.

“To me they are like sexual ‘seasoning’ — they add so much flavour to sex and can bring greater levels of intimacy to your sex life as a couple. They make sure things never get stagnant.”

Free Goodies Are A Bonus

Paige Gregory is an Australian, working in customer product trial and quality control for Lovehoney.com.au.

She told news.com.au: “I saw the ad and applied, then I got an interview and thought I could give this a go,” she told news.com.au.

“It’s such a friendly team, I love it. And the free goodies are obviously a bonus.”

Ms Gregory loves helping people to find the right toy for them but also wants to change the perception that exists about the devices which are still regarded as taboo and dirty by some.

So What Makes A Good Sex Toy?

Ms Gregory said a good sex toy has to meet three criteria:
“One, it has to be quality,”
“Two, it has to be quiet so it’s discreet,”
“And three it has to be waterproof.”
