Hello!

It’s one of the most beloved Bluey episodes ever released, and now it seems Sleepytime is also the second highest rated episode of television EVER. Or at least, it was until anime fans caught wind of it. Let me explain.

Emmy Award-winning writer, director and producer Daley Pearson, who co-founded Ludo Studio which produces Bluey, took to social media this week declaring Sleepytime has become the number two rated episode of any TV show ever on IMBd.

Incredible, right?! It’s little wonder viewers gave this absolute gem of an episode a rating of 10 stars. It has all the feels – from bedtime struggles to tug-at-the-heartstrings moments that give us that ol’ ‘got something in my eye’ feeling.

But here’s where things get interesting. After it came to light that Sleepytime had nestled into second place, behind Breaking Bad episode Ozymandias, anime fans apparently set out to send Bluey back down the rankings.

According to We Got This Covered, it appears that fans of Attack on Titan may have had something to do with the Bluey episode now tumbling to 17th place. It seems there has been an influx of one star reviews on Sleepytime. Oh, biscuits.

And a whole host of anime shows have now risen the ranks to sit above Sleepytime. Regardless, we know in our hearts just how incredible this Aussie show is. It’s worth a whole galaxy of stars – especially the beautiful intergalactic adventure that is Sleepytime.

So what do we think Bluey fans – is it time to get Bluey back up those rankings?

  • I love Bluey. I think it’s just an amazing program and love how layered it appears to be. We have the large picture book for Sleepytine and it’s so beautifully presented, a favourite.

  • We love bluey! Why would people want to ruin the ratings like this? Are they jealous of the shows inventiveness and how clever they are to include subtle relative story lines for even parents to appreciate?
