McDonald’s has announced that it is relaunching it’s Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurries in all its Australian restaurants just in time for Easter.

News.com.au reports the Creme Eggs are smashed up and blended into the regular soft serve and will be available for a limited time only.

mcflurry

The bad news is that this McFlurry contains 1610kj (383 calories) per serve and 56g of sugar, which is more than double the 25g grams the World Health Organisation recommends we consume daily. So you may need to eggs-ercise some restraint.

The Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry retails for $4.55.

McDonald’s customers around the world have already gone crazy for the Easter-themed flavour, posting tweets including: “Just had a Cadbury creme egg Mcflurry here in Canada. Let me repeat that, A CADBURY CREME EGG MCFLURRY!!! #dreamsdocometrue.”

And Australian fans are matching their hysteria, tweeting, “Creme Egg McFlurry verdict: Yes.” and, “CADBURY CREME EGG MCFLURRY. NOT A DRILL. NEED HELP.”

OK people, I have to say it, please don’t hate me but  – WHAT is all the fuss? Crème eggs are gross. I have never understood why people rave about them. It is like eating a really sugary, raw egg. No flavour. Just gooey, yuk. If you are going to break the diet please do it for something worth while. There, I said it.

Give me a caramello egg any day. Who else is with me?

  • I wonder how much marketing costs are involved and how many people will buy them. If we get hot weather you need to eat them straight away or they will be “runny” straight away.

  • yup sorry not with you on this one.
I LoVe creme eggs YUMM. and another piece of information CADBURY actually changed the formulation of the egg a while back and the public where not happy, they soon changed it back to the original. Bit like changing the cutting bar on the Glad wrap ..people power won out.
And now Arnotts are changing their shapes will be interesting what the community have to say on that one.
In conclusion YES for the creme egg and for me also a huge YES for the caramel egg as well ..as I LOVE BOTH. te he. :-)

  • I can’t stand those creme eggs. They used to come in different flavours like caramello filling, there was also a chocolate and a mint one too. So much better than the creme eggs. I agree, caramello for me!

  • I have heard it just the filling portion in the Mcflurry. Ask for extra chocolate topping and it tastes like a creme egg, so I am told. But I am not fond of them either.

  • I like them but they are far too sweet, maybe the ice cream in the mcflurry might break up the richness lol
