Care Bears Collab Captures Our 80s-Loving Hearts

Those sweet, colourful bears who first bounded into our hearts in the 80s are back in a big way, and the Typo x Care Bears collab has us wanting one of everything please!

Care Bears were actually first created to be used on greeting cards in 1981 (by the same company who created Strawberry Shortcake!). They were eventually made into stuffed teddy bears in 1983, and were originally sold until 1987.

Every bear had a job and symbol (do you remember your first Care Bear’s job and symbol?!), like Birthday Bear, Hopeful Heart Bear, Thanks-a-Lot Bear and Funshine Bear.

Just like everything 80s, Care Bears have made a comeback in a big way for a whole new generation, and Typo has released a whole bunch of awesome Care Bears merch including crockery and decor.

This brings back so many memories for me!
My daughter was actually given a care bear for her 1st birthday. No idea where it is now though

I loved Care Bears as a kid. And recently found 2 of my old ones that I had! They were in pretty good condition for having been in boxes and moved multiple times over the last 36 years!

Just goes to show that the saying ‘Everything old is new again” is spot on and correct.
Doubt I will be purchasing any of this merchandise though.

Never had a real carebear growing up, just a 2 dimensional type thing. I tried watching the show recently and seem at a loss to whose who. This stuff is cute but I won’t be going mad for it
