Carrie Bickmore‘s latest Instagram share captures family pictures at their best.

The Project host shared a picture of her with partner Chris Walker and daughter Evie, showing what a family photo really looks like.

“This is what family photos used to look like… before we all took 100 photos until we got the perfect one where we are all looking!!!,” she wrote.

“#LookAtTheCameraEvie #smile #evie #LookOverHere #Evie!! Everyone collectively makes weird noises to get her to look #SheDoesnt #proud.”

Racking up over 2,000 likes already we’d say it’s a pretty successful family photo.

  • Im so glad that she found a wonderful man. Together they have such a lovely family

  • I reckon candid shots are best anyway.

  • Lol it is so hard to do family photos!

  • Oh yeah, it sure is a hard job to make a nice family shot !

  • lol yeah and then when you have a few kids, there will ALWAYS be one child, who is not looking at the camera!

  • Haha too true. How hard is it to get the supposedly perfect family shot. Even as adults, we can’t do it without someone talking!!

  • Lol, yes we have lots of photos like this. At the very least, one with their eyes closed, or looking away, or grumpy because they don’t want their photo taken. A beautiful family photo, very natural – I think these often tell more of a story than a posed one with every one smiling and looking perfect.

  • Lovely to see her so happy after all the heart ache she’s been through.

  • Oh yes we all have those photos. How gorgeous is she

  • Yes, far more realistic isn’t it?

  • Lovely photos and just like they used to be when you had a roll of film and couldn’t afford to buy more.

    • LOL! Rolls that sometimes were expensive black or brown hazy prints!

  • Can relate… but still love looking through the not so perfect ones!

  • All family photos are ‘real’ and I choose to not judge people’s family photos, some are candid and some are posed, but they are all done with the intention of capturing a family and togetherness.

  • super cute bubba but don’t know about the ‘real’ family pic bit

  • All family photos are precious.
