Carrie Underwood is a Grammy winning mum of one and has recently opened up about motherhood and marriage.

It seems that no matter who you are motherhood comes with similar feelings of self-doubt and guilt. The 32 year old country singer is mum to 7 month old Isaiah Michael and has spoken with People about body issues, her marriage to Mike Fisher and the guilt that surrounds parenting.

It’s refreshing to see a celebrity really open up about how becoming a mum changes EVERYTHING about your world.

  • Celeb or no celeb, all mothers experience similar things and at times question themselves but it’s refreshing when someone who is in public eye speaks out.

  • We all do things that we look back on later and wish we had done them differently.
We do our best as each situation arises, and there are plenty of them whether you are working or not.

    • Very true. I even find I parent differently with four children than I did with just one. I’m not second guessing myself as much but I’m still learning every day. And now for the teenage years……

  • I get mumma guilt all the time. I need to be kinder to myself and think some of this mumma guilt is the way of life (ie/ having to work and putting him in daycare).

  • Give mummy guilt the flick – there is not point to it! Be kind to yourself and to each other! :)
