Hello!

Coles has lifted the lid on its latest collectible range, and this time it’s magical! The retail giant has revealed its newest range of mini collectible goodies –  The Magical Builders Harry Potter collection.

The supermarket chain last year pledged to no longer give away plastic toys as part of its mini promotions, and has ditched its popular Little Shop collectibles for a more sustainable option.

The Warner Bros Magical Builders collectibles set features characters from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series. The characters are made from 100% FSC certified cardboard and can be recycled in household recycling bins.

As well as the characters, the range includes a plastic-free play kit with settings from the iconic films.

You’ll be able to start your Coles collectibles collection from Wednesday, July 6. You’ll get one free Magical Builder character with every $30 spent in one transaction at Coles supermarkets, Coles Online and Coles Express.

The Coles collectible launch comes just days after Woolworths announced its newest collectibles – Disney Fix-Ems.

  • My son has been enjoying collecting these! I on the other hand have not been appreciating the cardboard around the house as much as him

  • Bring back the useful kitchenware! At least those items were practicable and not something that will be collected and then thrown in the bin.!

  • I won’t be getting these even though I really liked the Harry Potter series, my kids are too old for these. Lucky really because the closest Coles store is 3 hours away.

  • Amazing! I am an OG Harry Potter fan and my 2.5 year old also lives Harry so she will love getting these after each weeks grocery shop!

  • My eldest daughter is so excited for the HP promotion. I’m a bit but off that they’re cardboard though, as my 2 year old can be pretty destructive

  • My kids aren’t into Harry Potter but they’re always keen to get anything that’s handed out for free at the supermarket. Personally I won’t be rushing to get them though as I expect they’ll just end up all over my house.
I really liked the mini gardens that Woolworths did a few years back. They were helpful and a great way to get my kids interested in gardening.

  • Kinda cool, but also feel likes just going to end up being junk!

  • I’d sooner have something more practical and useful, and given the price increase of everything I doubt I’ll be encouraging my kids to get on board with this gimmick.

  • They are pretty cool, don’t think I’ll get enough points to get a lot of them though
