Hello!

Yesterday we shared the rumour that Coles would be launching a Little Shop Christmas Edition. And now, Coles have officially confirmed that the Little Shop collection will return with a festive flavour.

We got the insider scoop about the launch from a leaked internal staff email that indicated that the mini collectable frenzy has about to make a comeback.

A spokesperson for the supermarket giant spoke to news.com.au saying that the Christmas-themed collection would include gingerbread, mince pies, a pavlova, bonbons, and a limited-edition gingerbread ice-cream.

Just as the previous collection worked, customers will receive one Christmas mini collectable for every $30 they spend.

The Coles Little Shop Christmas Edition launches on 7 December.

The supermarket has also indicated that there will be a limited number of special-edition Christmas stocking collector cases, which will be on sale for $4.

Coles previously hinted the Little Shop campaign would return only in 2019.

There were mixed responses to the news of the Christmas collection with many of our readers expressing relief that there were only 5 collectibles to earn.

  • And additional profit to sell the folders/books they go in.
I hope Coles are donating at least some of the profits to their Red Kite Appeal which is connected to Cancer research etc.

  • Okay some would like these and you have to do shopping so they’re a bonus but don’t think you should have to pay for the case to put them in. So glad my kids are past this stage.

  • No no nope! Not in my house.. our 6yr old who has autism was given some by mil with his 8yr old brother last time. He decided to put the vanish one in his mouth ???? Coles said to me “they are for ages3+”.. ahh 6 is over 3 but obviously they aren’t special needs friendly.
i hope Coles make them a bit bigger this time because special needs kids love to collect these silly things that Woolworths/Coles put out too.

  • This is very cute and obviously timely. I imagine, whilst this will have been in production and planning for a while, it is worth it due to the craze of the first range.
