At a time when the weekly shopping is enough to break the family budget, Coles customers are being surprised with $100 gift vouchers and bonus FlyBuys points.

The retailer is rewarding ‘active FlyBuys members’ – and you won’t even know you’re getting a surprise gift until it arrives!

Delighted shoppers have taken to social media to share their rewards.

“Thanks so much for the $100.00 gift voucher,” wrote one customer, who received a gift card in the mail. “It will certainly come in handy. You’ve made my day.”

Other customer were concerned it could be a scam, with a Cole representative confirming it is rewards its loyal customers.

“We can confirm that our team have sent these letters and they are real, however please be aware that they are sent via post or email related to your customer account.”

Coles says the random gifts will include more than just vouchers, with selected FlyBuys members gifted with:

• $100 Coles supermarket gift card sent in the post to spend in store;
• 10,000 Flybuys bonus points – the equivalent of $50 Flybuys dollars – sent via email and activated when the Flybuys card is scanned in store; or
• For 10 customers, a one million Flybuys bonus points surprise – the equivalent of $5,000 Flybuys dollars – at the checkout.
