Footage has emerged of a father doing a 60-metre rope swing bungee jump with his toddler strapped to his chest.

The video, posted on Instagram earlier this week, shows Malaysian reality star Redha Rozlan standing on a bridge in Kuala Kuba Bharu, strapped into a bungee harness.

With his 2-year-old daughter, Mecca Mikaela in his arms, Rozlan falls backwards off the platform, measuring almost 200 feet above the ground, and swings across the river gorge below.

In response to negative comments from his Instagram followers, he explained in his caption that his daughter had asked to do the rope swing with him and had not been coerced.

“Chill, guys,” the thrill-seeking dad wrote.

“Don’t try with your kids if your kids [are] not ready for this.”

He also said Mecca was wearing “complete safety harness and gear” during the stunt.

In another clip you can see a father jump with his toddler strapped on his back.

Do you think this is safe?

  • I am stunned the the jump operators allowed this. Maybe they dont even have Insurance cover over there so they were not worried.

  • No it’s not safe and not necessary

  • that’s just dreadful. I think it is awful. No need to put the kids at risk.

  • OMG! I would have thought there were age and height restrictions on this kind of thing. I would never bungee jump myself, let alone with child. Many safer rides/thrill seeking opps have height and age restrictions. Amazing this one doesn’t.

  • This was a ridiculous and dangerous thing to so. What if the rope had snapped? Would he have said “Oh these things can happen”.

  • think it is a horrific ting to do! Anything could have happened, very luck it did not. He needs to take parenting skills for sure as the cildren are his responsibility they are not toys so wakeup!

  • Hell no, I am just stunned. Bad parenting.

  • This type of thing is always dangerous- why put your child at risk? Being so young, even the harnesses on her could have squeezed her and caused internal damage. You just don’t know. Plus, even if the kid had asked to do it, she was only 2, not about to properly comprehend, and she was probably terrified during the stunt.

  • This doesn’t seem even remotely safe.

  • I agree that there’s always a danger in these thrill seeking activities. No need to involve your child in this.

  • Personally I think this is wrong and shouldn’t have been allowed by the people running it. Normally anyone under 18 is a no go on most of these types of thrill seeking things.

  • That’s crazy! There is nothing funny about this. Those kids could have died! :-(
