One problem is that front screen doors are lower than they used to be and toddlers can reach up and open them at a much earlier age than they used to be. They don’t need the keys, they just push the latch down it is so easy. I have a 3y.o. who can reach the wooden door handle too – could before this last birthday.

Reading such stories always brings tears to my eyes. It’s about time reversing cameras were compulsory. Once you have a reversing camera, you truly appreciate how blind you are reversing without one. So horribly devastating for this family.
