A 50-year-old father has been denied bail on charges relating to his baby’s death.
Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court in Perth, heard details of two-month-old baby Narelle Pears’ injuries yesterday as part of the bail hearing of her father, Tony James Paraha.
Police allege that the baby was malnourished, had injuries to her face and skull. Old rib fractures were also discovered.
Mr Paraha and the baby’s mother, 30-year-old Melanie Pears, have been charged with manslaughter over the infant’s death in January this year.
The judge denied Mr Paraha’s bail request.
