Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be another Bluey toy to add to the collection, comes Bluey LEGO!
Now, we don’t want to get your hopes up too high, before letting you know that this is a LEGO Ideas submission … BUT you have the chance to get this to the production stage. EXCITING!!
And the product pitch already has the support of Bluey, with the official Bluey Facebook page sharing the product idea.
The creator, who goes by the name Monkey Scout, explained they built the Bluey LEGO because they think it’s an amazing show.
“I absolutely love it and I believe it deserves to have its own LEGO set. And when I absolutely love a show, I tend to go a little crazy and I just have to build it out of LEGO! I must!! I also tend to overanalyse the structures in my favourite kids shows, such as the Heeler’s house, making mental notes on where things are placed and what the layout of the building is.”
So what’s included in the Bluey LEGO set? Of course there’s the Heeler House with a heap of adorable details meticulously recreated from the show. From garden gnomes to the flowers and even the mud puddle.
The house can be unfolded in the centre for creative play, and to spy what other beauties are within. There’s furniture (the orange couch!) and so many sweet details – including Bandit’s exercise ball.
“Bluey and Bingo’s room was my favourite to recreate. Its fun details include Bluey and Bingo’s beds, the magic xylophone, the feather wand, the dresser, the salt lamp, a cute little photo of Bluey and Bingo, Greeny the balloon, and the watermelon rug.”
And make sure you check out that kitchen – can you spot the duck cake?!
Monkey Scout admits this was one of the hardest builds they’ve ever created.
“How do you turn a house (that changes every episode), into a LEGO model? I just had to wing it. In the show, the house is pretty much just a huge maze with no definite shape or floor plan.”
How LEGO Ideas works
LEGO Ideas is all about regular folk sharing their amazing LEGO creations and showcasing their proposals for new LEGO Ideas sets.
It can actually take several years to get a LEGO Ideas proposal enough support to get into production, if it makes it at all. Once a project hits 10,000 supporters, it gets to the expert review stage. And guess what – the Bluey LEGO is already almost there!
So how do we get this set into production for real life? You have head over to LEGO Ideas and hit the support button on this project.
