Guess who’s expecting her first child?

Even the icy assistant she played in The Devil Wears Prada might crack a smile at the news that actress Emily Blunt is pregnant. A rep for the English star, 30, married to The Office’s Jim Krasinski, 33, has confirmed the news.

“They both want kids, it’s one of the reasons they got a bigger place, in a neighbourhood that you can raise a family,” said an insider.

“We want to have children, I just don’t know when yet,” the actress told Manhattan magazine last year. “I’m just not sure about the timing of all that. We’re both from big families, so I think it’s something we want.”

The well-connected pair have holidayed with Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux in Mexico, and when they married in 2010 it was at George Clooney’s villa on Lake Como, Italy, with Matt Damon and Meryl Streep among the guests.

Blunt, star of The Young Victoria, The Adjustment Bureau and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, dated singer Michael Buble for three years (it ended in 2008 amidst rumours of his cheating).

“Meeting John really changed my life,” Blunt told In Style in April. “When I feel the support from him, I feel invincible. There’s someone behind you on your good days, and someone in front of you on your bad days.” With this latest news, “They both couldn’t be more excited,” said a source.

One who might not be so thrilled by the news: their labrador, Finn, who is allowed to sleep in their bed – for now.
