Two-year-old twin boys have drowned together after falling into a fish pond in their back garden.
The boys were found on Saturday morning in a pond in the back garden of the family home. Emergency services immediately called to the scene at Fife in Dalgety Bay, Scotland.
In a statement, Police Scotland said the two boys were rushed to hospital, but later died.
The terrible events have been described by local MSP Alex Rowley as “every parent’s worst nightmare”.
Dave Dempsey, Dalgety Bay Councillor said the whole community is shocked.
“As local councillors, we were all notified that two young children had fallen into a pond and died. To think it is twin boys is heartbreaking.”
