OZSALE Capsule Wardrobe For Mums

A capsule wardrobe is a set of clothing made up of tops, pants, outerwear, shoes and accessories that can easily be mixed and matched. It can be anywhere from 25 to 50 pieces of clothing, but you can build it up over time. The idea is that as you add new pieces, you’re giving exisiting pieces a whole new way to be worn.

For mums, a capsule wardrobe needs to multitask just as much as we do! So the idea is to choose pieces that can form the basis of several outfits, over your busy week.

Let’s take a look at the pieces we’ve chosen:

Coats/Jackets: Four versatile and warm coats and jackets that work for casual outfits and more formal events or days out.

Tops: A range of casual tops, as well as a button-up shirt and cardigan that can be mixed and matched.

Bottoms: A couple of jeans styles, leggings, wide-leg pants and a skirt and you’ve got a range of looks ready to go!

Footwear: A pair of flat and high-heeled boots means you’re ready for any occasion, UGGS for ultimate comfort and sneakers for either working out or being out and about.

Here’s a snapshot of a typical mum-week, and how the Designer Capsule Mum Wardrobe we’ve put together can make it work.

And winter sports are made for watching from the car – which is why I’m usually in my UGGs as I cheer on my kids! Sundays also double as house reset day, so this outfit is perfect for cleaning and getting everything ready for another big week!

  • Love the idea of a capsule wardrobe but no idea how to make it work with what I already have and can’t afford to start from scratch right now. Plus in Melbourne you can’t really have a winter and summer wardrobe.

  • I feel like I wear the same clothes on rotation every week and have recently been trying to buy a few new clothes here and there to change it up. I get so comfortable in my everyday clothes though that I feel strange wearing something different.
    Some good suggestions though
