Get set for the 53-hour shop-a-thon that is Click Frenzy Mayhem – a huge sales event that happens each year in May. This year it begins at 7pm AEST Tuesday May 24, and ends midnight, Thursday May 26.

Click Frenzy Mayhem is one of the biggest eCommerce events that happens each year outside of November sales events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Many of the biggest and most loved brands offer amazing storewide offers, discounts and special offers that are only seen once or twice per year.

It’s becoming increasingly popular off the back of the success of Click Frenzy The Main Event that is held each year in November.

Top business consultant Olivia Jenkins who advises female-led businesses in the beauty, fashion and lifestyle spaces says more and more brands across beauty, technology and homewares such as Adidas, Dyson, The Good Guys, Love Honey, Adairs and Canningvale are getting involved each year.

“Brands are competing to get the best deals in nice and early. It’s become important for businesses to get involved in this mid-year event – actually many use Click Mayhem as their main sales event -because if they wait until EOFY, it’s often too late as many bargains would have already been snapped up earlier by customers.”

Olivia says consumers wanting to get the best deals should bear this in mind:

  1. Sign up to emails on the Click Frenzy Mayhem website so you can be notified of the best offers and campaigns that are live.
  2. Make sure you are subscribed to emails for your favourite brands nice and early so you can secure “early access” to any sales.
  3. Do you research in advance to get your shopping cart ready so you know what you are going to buy. Research reviews, compare models and so forth ahead of the sale so you are ready to go when the deals drop.
  4. Be quick! Many brands only offer a limited amount of stock for their best deals, and you want to be able to snap up the offers quickly – especially given COVID stock shortages.
  5. Set your alarm and be ready to log onto the Click Frenzy Mayhem website when the clock strikes, so you’re able to be first in line for these amazing offers!

However, there are a few pitfalls that you need to look out for.

“You don’t literally want to be in a ‘click frenzy’ when the time comes and accidentally overspend. So that’s why you need to do your research ahead of time, so you don’t need to cross compare or get into a flap with indecision.

“It’s important to stay on course and remember why you’re there. Are you buying Christmas presents early? Upgrading your fridge or TV that’s desperately overdue? Stay organised and intentional about what items you are shopping for and you’ll walk away with some great bargains.”

  • I’ve taught myself not to even look at these sales. I’d end up with a pile of stuff i don’t really need.

    • Really good decision. Not even look at the sales

  • While you get “bargains” the postage and packing wait you need to take into account.
There is a great app called “honey” that gives you discount codes that are the same level as these sales

  • Black Friday, Cyber Monday, EOFY sales, Click Frenzy and the rest! Too much for me. I like to take my time, browse and keep an eye out for bargains.

  • I agree. Sometimes I over spend on this sales, though this year there is no money to spend :(

  • Sometimes I wonder if they really differ from normal sales as the prices seem quite similar.
Not sure if it’s because everything has gone up in price or whatever but they just don’t seem as good as boxing day sales!
