Make this super cute headband for your child super fast today.

DIY baby headband

What you’ll need:

  • A strip of stretchy knit material
  • cotton
  • needle

Method:

  1. Measure material around the child’s head so that it can go around twice. The material can be as wide as you would like but a couple of inches will be enough.
  2. Cut the material to size.
  3. Sew the two ends of the material strip together by hand or machine.
  4. The headband is now ready to use. Place the headband in a figure eight shape on a table and twist the centre to make a loop.
  5. Place the headband on your child.

These are so cute and so easy; I think I’ll make one for myself too!

Try it out and let me know how you go. Please add your comment below.

  • Please be careful with headbands on babies – remove for sleep time, or when they fall asleep. Yes they are cute, but they are non essential and can be dangerous.

  • So easy – this looks like a school holiday craft!

  • I don’t remember the whole story but there was a warning about baby’s headbands awhile ago. From memory it was to not attach anything to it. Something came off of one, or the baby pulled it off and put it somewhere that wasn’t safe.. I remember thinking it was a shame as they look so pretty.
