Gingerbread house decorating just got a whole lot more fun, with IKEA releasing free downloadable gingerbread cookie stencils, inspired by its iconic furniture. It’s festive flatpack!

Aussies are being encouraged to transform their traditional gingerbread houses into a Gingerbread Höme, using the bespoke stencils. Just trace out the shapes onto rolled gingerbread dough, bake and then assemble the six different pieces of teeny IKEA furniture.

The stencils include the BILLY bookcase, the STRANDMON chair and the MALM bed frame. The stencils are part of IKEA Australia’s Christmascape kits, which are curated collections handpicked by the design team. They include free digital and downloadable kits including: Cooking with Kids, Sustainable Table Decorations and Balcony and Outdoor Spaces kits.

IKEA has also released its annual VINTERSAGA collection, which includes everything you need to bake and decorate the edible IKEA furniture: frozen gingerbread dough, gingerbread houses, baking glue and utensils, starting at $7.
