Sounds fair to me.
What is not fair is my late husband was married before. He and his first wife did not have children. She went on to have a child with another man but instead of giving the child his last name she gave the child her married name so this child that had nothing to do with my husband had his last name. Now thats wrong.

I think this is totally reasonable on her part. Good on you Kim for thinking of your kids.

I’ve never known her as Kim West, she’s always Kim Kardashian, so can’t see it having too big of an impact on her public profile

I have been divorced twice. I kept my previous married name until I remarried again.

This is her personal choice and I’m glad she’s thinking of her children.

Kim has good reasons and as long as she is happy, that is the main thing

I understand where she is coming from

I went through a divorce. Was in no hurry to change my name until I fell pregnant with my now partner. I definitely wanted my name changed before having a baby so I went back 5o my maiden name asap.

I can understand you want to carry the same name as your kids

This makes a lot of sense, especially as a lot of people probably still think of her as a Kardashian anyway. So it doesn’t matter much if she’s legally West.

I’m happily married but when my mum divorced my dad she decided to keep her name as it was on everything of hers and she wanted to keep the same name as us kids.

I’ve been married for so long that it’s no longer just ‘his’ name. I’m not sure I would want to change it back,

I totally understand this, I would probably do the same thing if I was in that position.

I have a friend who did the same because she was bullied as a child because her mum had a different surname
