Hello!

Kmart has done it again! They’ve just revolutionised the polaroid and launched the extremely affordable photo printer that attaches to your smartphone without WiFi or Bluetooth.

The cute little Kiipix can be yours for only $49, which is a fraction of the cost that these super portable printers usually go for. Plus it’s available in grey, pink and blue.

It’s really easy to use – you just need to pick your pic, put your phone on top of the printer screen, turn the dial and you’ve got an instant photo. It’s perfect for holidays and on-the-go action shots.

According to the Daily Mail, the printer has the option of editing photos before printing. You can add filters and cute stamps, adjust the contrast and get rid of red-eye.

Buyers Can’t Contain Their Excitement

The news of this new product has sent shoppers into a frenzy. They’ve shared their enthusiasm on the Kmart facebook page:

One consumer wrote the Kiipix was something they needed ‘like they have never needed anything in my life’.

‘I genuinely think this will be the best thing that ever happens to me,’ commented someone else.

A few buyers were miffed that this hadn’t been release earlier. ‘Where was this when I needed it? Instead I paid $200+ for mine.’

The printer uses Fuji Instax Mini Film which is priced at $27 for a pack of 20.

The Kiipix is fully portable and is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The gadget is also compatible with all makes of smartphone.

  • Sounds a bit costly I like to print mine myself on a big printer as I havd a good camera and don’t want too loose on print quality.

  • How cool. So much easier then going into a store to have your photos printed. And so cheap. I’m putting this on my Xmas wish list

  • I really wonder how good the quality will be like. It may be no better than photos from a mobile phone loaded for a digital photo frame.

  • I looked at these weeks ago. I don’t know how good the quality is. It’s just a Polaroid camera that takes a photo of the picture on your phone… I can’t imagine it would be very good quality

  • No, I’m happy to print elsewhere…

  • Maybe I should buy one for my husband for Xmas , just to try it out myself ;)

  • Yes! If only because I have no idea how else to get photos off my phone!

  • Ohh… yes I want one!! $27 for 20 prints isn’t exactly economical though.
