Kristen Bell is a proud mum to two daughters, Lincoln and Delta, with her husband Dax Shepard.

The star welcomed the couple’s youngest child in December last year and in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 33-year-old has admitted that she won’t let her unvaccinated friends near her children.

“It’s a very simple logic. I believe in trusting doctors, not know-it-alls,” Kristen revealed.

“When Lincoln was born, the whooping cough epidemic was growing and before she was 2 months old, we simply said ‘You have to get the whooping cough vaccination if you are going to hold our baby.'”

Earlier in the week, the Veronica Mars star opened up to Ellen Degeneres about 2-month-old Delta’s birth, including her experience having an epidural.

Kristen also revealed that she and Dax are happy having just two children, laughing “We don’t want to be outnumbered.”

  • it’s good to see she using her celebrity to promote such an important issue. Vaccination is so incredibly important to protect all children.

  • Definitely vaccinate! The positives far out way the negatives. Many of these diseases can cause death or long term problems, is it worth taking the risk, definitely NOT.

  • I love Dax and Kristen, and that they are being protective of their children’s health.

  • It’s great to see a celebrity with sensible ideals. Vaccines were created to illiminate the suffering and sometimes death associated with these communicable illnesses. One only has to look at the impact these diseases have in third world countries, where vaccines aren’t readily available and mortality rates from such illnesses are needlessly high. Benefit far outweighs the risk.

  • She’s cool. Always good for people with a high profile to talk sense on important issues like vaccination.

  • How refreshing to see a celebrity who’s making sense on such a serious topic.

  • it is a very important thing to do for your kids

  • Well I happen to like her logic. Good on you Kristen!

  • Would not even consider not having my children vaccinated… I think it is extremely important as the risks of illness & disease far outweighs the risks of the vaccination itself!

  • Difficult question. They definately do save lives, but I do question what’s in them

    Reply

  • I think it is very important.

  • By Moral grounds I mean I have a moral issue with using Vaccines that have aborted fetal cells (human diploid cells). I understand that other do not care or just don\’t know but personally I draw the line there.

    Reply

  • yeah so you should vaccinate your children

    Reply

  • The diseases are certainly far more dangerous than the vaccinations.
Vaccinations save lives and so do Doctors. :-)

  • Good on her. I applaud her sensible trust science approach. The fear mongering about vaccines has been going on for too long.

  • What difference does it make if others are vaccinated or not? If you believe vaccinations work and your child has been vaccinated then what\\\’s the concern? Why should we trust doctors? They just want to get paid. Why trust drug companies? It\\\’s a multi-billion dollar industry. So naïve. Why don\\\’t you look into the outcomes of so many people who have trusted doctors and paid with their lives.

    • This is why someone is making a stand against viewpoints like yours. Are you a medical professional? Scientist? Do you actually have a background to make such assertions or are you just one of the people who have been caught up in the lies surrounding vaccines? I’m sorry to tell you but your putting your child and other people’s children at risks if you don’t vaccinate. There really is no reason to not vaccinate except a few rare situations. Please read legitimate sources on vaccinations to get the knowledge on why it is important.

  • I was the same when my babies were born! Vaccinations or no cuddles. I worked so hard to get my babies into the world, I wasn’t going to risk it!

    Reply

  • Anyone researched the ingredients in a vaccination?

    • Yes, they are full of poison.

      • They contain a little bit of each virus to help build up your immunity so you don’t get a deadly form of the said virus…

    Reply

  • I could agree more, vaccinations are so important and I believe they do more good than harm.

    Reply

  • I totally agree. Vaccinations are made for a reason and if other mothers want to risk their own childrens lives then that’s up to them, so long as they stay away from mine. I do the right thing and vaccinate, not for my children to be jeopardised by other mums that don’t believe in vaccinating.
