Purple Wiggle Lachlan ‘Lachy’ Gillespie is officially engaged to his gorgeous ballerina partner, Dana Stephensen.

Lachy made the exciting announcement on his Instagram account, saying:
“On Thursday night, Dana asked me to marry her at home under a fairy light sky and a very excited little boy in a beautiful bow tie.”

The 34-year old kids’ entertainer posted a sweet photo of him hugging his ecstatic dancer partner, with Dana’s four-year old son, Jasper looking just as joyful. The bedroom was decorated with fairy lights and Jasper was all dressed up in a coloured shirt and grey bowtie.

Loved Up Couple

The romance between Lachy and Australian Ballet senior artist Dana Stephensen supposedly ignited, when they met on set in December 2018.

Dana recently gushed with glee to The Daily Telegraph about her relationship with loveable Lachy. “He’s just amazing and I just love him so much,” she declared.

Special Relationship

Dana is mum to four-year-old Jasper, who is just as enamoured with the Purple Wiggle as his mother.

“Lachy is such a special person for him. He doesn’t tell the other kids at kindy that he’s a Wiggle, he’s just Lachy to him and they have the best fun together – he’s so great with kids and they make up the best games. Every day I am very grateful,” said Dana.

Dana describes the first time they met when she got selected to film with the Wiggles:

“I walked in and it felt like another world – it was an amazing experience in itself – but Lachy and I just had a really beautiful connection straight away. It was between us, but after the fact quite a few people noticed.”

Happy Family

Both Lachy and Dana’s Instagram pages are full of happy pictures of the pair, often with Jasper included. They are clearly very much in love.

They are clearly self-isolating in the same home, with Dana posting an adorable recent photo of Lachy and Jasper in their PJ’s and bed hair.

Lachy was previously married to yellow Wiggle, Emma Watkins but they separated in August 2018, after two years of marriage.

Emma is dating Oliver Brian, who plays the guitar and banjo for The Wiggles.
