Hello!

I can’t function without my cup of tea in the morning but with the kids up and at ‘em at the crack of dawn, I sometimes only turn on the kettle after the mass exit to school and daycare. This revolutionary new Kmart smart kettle will change all that – I can now switch it on from my bed.

This hi-tech Kmart smart kettle is not just your average water boiler. This sleek kitchen appliance in matte gun-metal grey has built-in wifi so it can be activated via an app on your phone and even works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The 1.7L Variable Temperature Kmart Smart Kettle is a digital power-based smart kettle, which boasts 5 temperature options (80C, 85C, 90C, 95C and 100C), a nifty keep warm function, a removable filter and lots of space-age backlit blue LED buttons.

This must-have Kmart Smart kettle is on sale in-store and online for $65 and it’s still available widely – but we reckon it will be sold out soon (so hurry!).

This Kmart Smart Kettle Is A Life-Changer!

A mum has posted her opinion of the smart kettle on the Kmart Mums Australia facebook page, giving it a glowing review.

“Best $65 I’ve ever spent. Absolutely loving my new Smart Wi-Fi kettle. Super easy to set up and use,” she shared.

“Connects to your smartphone so you can turn your kettle on while still in bed. Just as long as there is water in the kettle. You can adjust the temperature from your phone. Pretty quiet too!”

Best Thing Ever!

The post went crazy, receiving over 1,700 excited comments.

“I need this. No more yelling out to the kids to push the button down haha!” said one mama.

“We were going to buy the sunbeam one which was like $200 and it isn’t wifi controlled! I’m so going to buy this one!” said another.

“Oh wow! That’s awesome. I’m going to get one for sure! The idea of turning it on from my bed has won me over,” wrote another keen fan.

It’s Almost Perfect

While most of the mums thought the new Kmart smart kettle was “a gamechanger” and “literally life-changing”, a few suggested that it would be perfect if it was even a tad more automated.

“Can it pour itself into the cup and walk itself to my bed as well?” one mum asked.

“Just need the automatic cup getter and the bed kickeroutter and an automatic toaster!!!” said another.

Others said that a coffee machine version would even be better “so I can make my coffee from my bed.”

Next Level Lazy

But not everyone was impressed.

“This is for lazy people! I definitely can spend $65 on better things.” one person said.

“It is the definition of luxury!” another commented.

“That’s next level lazy”.

“I’ve had one of these for 22 years……my husband!”

But the hard-core fans quickly came to the Kmart smart kettle’s defense.

“As a mum, this is a great idea. If you think it’s lazy, don’t buy one,” one retorted.

Instant Hot Water

The Kmart smart kettle follows hot on the heels of the Kmart instant water dispenser, which sold out in minutes and has received rave reviews from its many fans.

  • It would be a good idea but with no school age kids and not working any more, I think it’s better that I get up and make my own cuppa. Otherwise I don’t know when I’d get out of bed.

  • I don’t drink coffee or tea so not needed for me.

  • My son has one of these. He rarely remembers to turn it on, and when he does the humming noise it makes disturbs him. Lol

  • I have five kids and I want my coffee asap without having to interact with them before coffee (pre-coffee mama is a bit of a meany). It’s a yes from me.

  • I think we’re becoming lazy enough without all these ‘smart’ items doing everything for us.

    Reply

  • I didn’t think we’d need this and I probably still think that haha

  • I always forget to turn on the kettle in the morning! If I had this option maybe I would remember lol

  • This idea is no good to me as I’d never wake up – just have to get up and about to wake up properly.

  • If there’s no water in it you still have to get up!
Don’t think this is something I’d invest in to be honest!
I have a step goal of 6k per day and with working from home I don’t even get close, this would just make me even more lazy.

  • I’m generally not a fan of gadgets that do everything for the sake of it – but yep, this one sounds like a winner to me.

  • That’s great! I’m trying to do up my house into a ‘smart’ home- we need more appliances like this!

  • I used to have a coffee maker with a timer. Every morning the coffee was ready for me first thing, which I very much enjoyed.

  • Totally unnecessary. It doesn’t take that long to boil a kettle. I usually pop mine on first thing then start unstacking the dishwasher until it’s ready

    • I like to do other things while the kettle is boiling too.

  • What a brilliant idea, I wonder if it’s too good to be true. I spend most mornings jumping out of bed just to turn the kettle on and then returning until I hear it has boiled. I love a good cup of tea in the morning, any chance they’ll release the tea making process automatic too? Haha.

  • I often get distracted or interrupted and forget I had intended to make a coffee or tea so probably wouldn’t help, I enjoyed the comments, especially when she said “I’ve had one of these for 22 years……my husband!”
