Hello!

Harry Potter fans, hold onto your wands, LEGO has just released the set we’ve all been waiting for – a LEGO Talking Sorting Hat. And it’s full of surprises!

The LEGO Hogwarts Sorting Hat is the first ever LEGO Harry Potter set to feature a sound brick – and it does exactly what you think it does!

Once built, when you tip the top of the hat or pop it on your head the voice is activated and you’ll find out which Hogwarts house it chooses for you! The sound brick also plays the Sorting Hat Song and has 31 randomised sounds.

The 561-piece set also features a stand, which celebrates all four of the Hogwarts’ houses by using their crest. And the set includes a Harry Potter minifig, who is also wearing a Sorting Hat!

The LEGO Hogwarts Sorting Hat set retails for $149.99, but it’s currently on sale at Myer if you hurry!

  • OMG that is so cute. My niece would lose her mind over this. I need to tell them about it.

  • All Harry Potter fans will want to buy this but in these difficult times it’s just too expensive. It’s a shame that, just because it is a brand name, they sell for so much more than they are worth. Unless you’re a collector it’s not worth it

  • Harry Potter fans will love this Iam sure, but not for us

  • Mixed feelings about this…. love lego, though this does seem very much like it can only be the sorting hat and nothing else as far as imaginative play is concerned. And while it’s cheaper than some bespoke sets, it is very much out of my price range as a solo parent.

  • Not really into Harry Potter but the price tag isn’t bad. For some reason I was expecting it to be between 300 and 500 bucks!
