Lucky escape for kids as an out of control car crashes into Sydney child care centre.

A childcare centre in Sydney’s inner west was forced into lockdown this morning after a car crashed into the outside area where children were playing.

The out of control vehicle smashed into the building of the Breakfast Point centre on Orchards Avenue just after 8am.

The car has been removed and the driver of the vehicle, an elderly man, has been taken to hospital.

Miraculously, Fire and Rescue NSW said there were no injuries to anyone in the child care centre.

  • Now that would have been a very tense few moments at the centre. So glad to hear no one was injured.

  • The car must have been going at very high speed to go through a fence and a wall too,
Childcare centres usually have strongly built cyclone wire and sturdy steel posts. I am a little surprised that the driver survived. I hope he makes a good recovery.

    • yeah that is what i thought, high speed but who knows what he was going through to make him drive that way.
