Hello!

We’re not quite sure what they were thinking, but this nail salon has created a grilled cheese manicure that can only be described as weird.

What woman hasn’t gone for a manicure and wished they could put her favourite late night snack on her nails? Well Russian Beauty Salon, Nail Sunny, has answered your prayers, creating the weirdest manicure we’ve ever seen. Sharing a video to instagram, the nail artist uses real cheese to create a miniature cheese sandwich that we’re pretty sure you can’t eat.

Just Like The Real Thing

The manicure is constructed by placing each half of the ‘bread’ on separate nails, allowing the wearer to pull the sandwich and cheese apart just like the real thing. The ‘bread’ is made out of a plasticine, but the inside of the sandwich is made using all real ingredients, most importantly cheese. We don’t think you’d be getting two weeks out of this manicure as the cheese would be unlikely to stand the test of time. If the smell wasn’t bad enough, it’s unlikely you’d be able to wrangle two kids into a car or do a load of laundry wearing those nails. It’s definitely not for us!

Not The First Time

It’s not the first time that Nail Sunny has created a weird and wonderful manicure. They previously posted a photo of their MAC manicure, where real MAC products were inserted into acrylic nails. Talk about beauty on the go! They’ve also done baby milk bottle nails, with real milk inserted via syringe into a plastic tube at the top of the acrylics. All we can say is who has time for that!? Possibly the most over the top thing we’ve seen in a long time.

  • Gross! Never understand why people want this sort of thing done to their nails. Yucko

  • That’s pretty gross I hope her nails were cleaned in the process and that sandwhich looks so tiny lol

  • Oh my god, they’re all hideous. I’ve always wondered why people pay for something that lasts such a short time. But here’s something that’s expensive, ugly and short term. No thanks

  • This is way too far over the top.

  • What a horrid waste of cheese. I hope their nails are sterilised with anti-bacterial wipes first.

  • Wow, is this for a dress up party or Halloween?

  • This made me laugh!! Not very practical but definitely would stand out!

  • Personally I wouldn’t want any of them. They look so uncomfortable! :-)

    • I agree – they are not practical for my lifestyle.

  • Artistically quite unique; however not for me.

  • Not for me at all, then I only use clear polish anyway. These ones would have to display only as they can not be used for any type of daily living.

  • Oh my goodness, what can you do with nail like that ? How in the world would you change a nappy or visit the toilet ?
There’s no unique manicure I would love. I’m happy to do life without manicure.

  • This is absolutely ridiculous

  • It’s pretty amazing for something like a competition entry but otherwise it’s just crazy!

  • I wouldn’t get fake nails full stop, I do like the sensation that much that they don’t even last a few hours on me haha. These are great for generating publicity and a smart, out-of-the-box idea.

  • Surely this is just a promotional thing? Not real?

    Reply

  • why would you waste your time and money on that?

    Reply

  • No thanks ,not my style!
