Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla have released a video featuring two-month-old daughter Maxima to welcome the Chinese New Year.
Posting the video via Facebook on Saturday, Mark spoke Mandarin as he wished users health and good fortune. The video also revealed the couple have picked a Chinese name for Maxima: Chen Mingyu. The video explained the name choice further:
“Chen is Priscilla’s maiden name, while Mingyu means ‘our hope for a brighter tomorrow,’ he said. ‘Happy Lunar New Year from Priscilla, Max and me! In the Year of the Monkey, I hope you and all your loved ones find happiness, health and good fortune,’ Mark wrote in a caption.
In the video Mark says, “Happy New Year!’ Mark says. ‘Priscilla and I are very excited to celebrate our first Lunar New Year with Max.’
“We hope on this holiday, you are also spending it with your family and friends. ‘To celebrate the new year, members of our family gathered to enjoy a reunion dinner last night,’ she explains, starting to laugh as Maxima wriggles around impatiently.
To conclude the video, Priscilla says:
“From our little family to yours, we wish you health and prosperity in the New Monkey Year!” The video then cuts to Mark playing with Maxima saying: “Happy New Year!”
As the little girl stares back at Mark seemingly unimpressed, Mark jokes:
“You think my Chinese is bad?”
The 31-year-old, who is taking two months of paternity leave, climbed to 4th place on Forbes’s world billionaire list last week as his net wealth rocketed to $50 billion.
