Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth were forced to call on paramedics during their family Byron Bay beach day.

The beach date turned sour when Damon’s youngest daughter, Stella, aged 6, was treated by local paramedics on the scene after being stung by a jellyfish.

Matt and his family are holidaying with action-hero buddy, Chris Hemsworth, at his estate in northern New South Wales. He was forced to rush to a local cafe for ice after his little girl Stella, 6, was stung on Tuesday, reports Courier Mail.

Onlookers reported hearing Stella scream before she rushed into shore.

Paramedics treated her on the scene where she was comforted by her famous dad and mum, Luciana Barroso.

Ouchie! Hope she is OK.

  • If jellyfish are prevalent in the area, maybe there should be a few signs to warn people who are not familiar with the area.

  • Terrible start to their holiday – hope Stella manages to get over it and still enjoy our beaches.

  • I’ve been stung by jelly fishes as a kid and I remember it was very painful and itchy afterwards.

  • Some jelly fishes can leave a lasting imprint, hoping it was one of the less dangerous ones. Remember family members being strung, not a good thing. My sister was treated for blue bottle sting and the life savers told my dad to get her back in the water or she would never go back in. Only to be strung again.
It will certainly a holiday she will not forget.

  • I hope this doesn’t ruin their holiday for them. But on a serious note, and I don’t mean to sound mean, but not news. Lots of people get stung every year.
