Singer Meghan Trainor and husband Daryl Sabara have welcomed their second son, and his name has a very Aussie feel!
Meghan took to Instagram to share the happy news, and some candid photos of their baby boy’s birth.
“On July 1st (our 7 year anniversary of our first date) we welcomed Barry Bruce Trainor into the world,” she captioned the images.
“He was a big boy at 8lbs 7oz…and sideways (transverse), but we had an amazing, successful c-section, and I finally got my skin to skin time! Thank you to all of the incredible doctors and nurses who took such great care of us.”
We’re wondering if the time she’s spent in Australia as an Australian Idol judge will mean he’ll have the nickname Bazza?!
Meghan and Daryl discovered the gender of their second baby in a very unique way in April.
The couple had their gender reveal on The Kelly Clarkson Show, which is where they also had their gender reveal for their first baby.
Check out the cute reveal in the video below:
The Australian Idol judge shared a video in January showing her friends and family’s reaction to some big news – but she didn’t reveal what that news was!
She waited until the next day before confirming that she has baby number two on board.
The 29-year-old and her 30-year-old husband welcomed their first child, super adorable son Riley, in February 2021. The mum-of-one appeared on The Today Show earlier this year to unveil her new book Dear Future Mama: A TMI Guide To Pregnancy, Birth and Motherhood from Your Bestie, which is out on May 1. And she used the opportunity to drop her big news! “You want to see the book?” Meghan asked the show’s hosts. She then opened the book saying, “And it comes with a baby! “I’m pregnant. We did it!” she exclaimed.

Since having Riley, Meghan used her experience as a mum to inspire her music with the song ‘Remind Me’ written not long after giving birth.
“I started writing it after I had a C-section and was covered in stretch marks with a scar crossing them,” she told Entertainment Weekly in September 2022. “I’ve been open about my struggles with my body, and this was just a whole new layer. I didn’t go in thinking, ‘I’m going to write a sad song or a song about how I’m feeling.’ It just kind of happened, and it was a great therapy session.”
We absolutely adore this beautiful soul – congratulations Meghan!
