My Kitchen Rules star Sarah ‘Tully’ Vella, 30, and her husband Kurt welcomed their first child, daughter Margot Jo Vella.

The Brisbane nurse took to Instagram to share a snap of the happy family after giving birth to their firstborn.

Tully welcomed her first child with husband Kurt on June 30.

Daughter Margot Jo arrived early but healthy, Vella Tells WHO.

As for her name, Vella explains, “Kurt chose the name ‘Margot’ because he thinks it’s a pretty name and he knows some good Margots. We chose the ‘Jo’ for her middle name because that was my mum’s shortened name. She passed away when I was 11 and would have been a very groovy grandmother.”

Adding on her joint MKR account she wrote, “A sweet little chick pea was born on Friday night and Mum and Dad are very proud and high on love drugs ???? More photos to come soon… xx #tullyhadthebaby #holydooley”

Congratulations! Welcome to parenthood. Hold on to your hat.

What one piece of advice would you say to a new mum?

  • Love your baby and enjoy every moment. Go with your instincts. Some Medical Peofessionals have no experience – only what they learnt whilst studying. You probably already have more experience than some of them.

To a new mum I would say: “Enjoy them while they are young. They just grow too quick!” :-)

  • Congratulations! My advice is if your child is healthy and growing and you don’t let them wander the streets by themselves when they’re still toddlers then you don’t really have to justify your parenting to anyone.
