  • Gosh, there are some fantastic ideas here. Some I’d love, others I’d never have thought of, deeming them luxuries and spend the money on the kids instead of myself. I got that from my Mum – practical presents. My favourite would have to be the Ball Home Preserving kit, to store all the excess goodies from my garden. The dilemma – would I keep it for myself and send the jams, pickles and preserves to my mum, or should I give it to my mum and accept her jams and pickles?

  • Oh wow, such an amazing list of gifts. Would love the hand blender. Since being on maternity leave I have found I love cooking so have started to experiment although I don’t have a blender yet.

  • What i want most for mothers day is for the kids to get through the day without arguing or fighting the best mothers day gift ever. But if i must get a gift do love the little treats that the kids buy from the school. Last year my son purchsed me a lovely little tea cup. But if hubby chipping a treatment at the soa would work wonders and give me time off fromthe kids.

  • Goodness me, we have just got over Easter Bunny and its commercial pressure. Next is Mothers Day. My Mum always said she wanted more quality time with her family – visits longer than usual, not presents. More so, when grandchildren came along and she wanted to spend as much time with them as she could while she was healthy enough to join in with all their activities, and to be told how much we loved her. Mind you that was usually one of the first things the Grandchildren said to her when they ran in the door every time they visited.
